“The Periodontal and Orthodontic Interaction in the Age of Clear Aligner Therapy”
Robert A. Horowitz D.D.S.

Learn about how clear aligner therapy can be used not only during periodontal treatment and implant placement but to prevent gingivitis and early gum disease. This course will present an evidence-based approach on implant placement and restoration and on treating patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. You will be able to analyze both direct and indirect effects of orthodontic treatment on periodontal status.
Course Topics and Objectives That Will Be Discussed:
- Diagnosis and Planning: Learn to choose the best orthodontic and periodontal options for patients
- Dental Implant Placement: Repositioning and adjusting teeth around dental implants
- Oral Hygiene: How oral hygiene is improved during the use of fixed appliance treatments
- Stimulating Osteoclastic and Osteoblastic Activity: Restore and utilize teeth before resorting to extractions
